What is a Fake Band? Simple, It’s when original members of bands decide that they need to pay the mortgage, buy a new car, try to get laid again or score some drugs. They then reunite without the key member or members of the original band and go on tour or even worse record new music. They use the original band logo and launch sometimes large tours. These tours are usually in the summer, with other bands on the bill to hide their devious, scandalous and most important, fake ways.
You might ask why we care. Well, we’re rock purists and we believe this is complete and utter bullshit and we’re here to warn you, because if these fucks want to put out fake shit, then don’t charge us full price. I mean if you’re not giving me the real lead singer, charge me 20 bucks a ticket, because all you are is a fancy ass cover band.
Don’t get us wrong, we salute Tribute Bands and goddamn do we love a solid Cover Band, but Fake Bands we will not accept. Now if you want to go to these fake-ass shows that is certainly your prerogative. But a lot of people don’t even realize they’re getting conned. So RockHeap ishere to spread the word and let everyone know what evil lurks at your local concert hall.
