Richard Wright, keyboardist and founding member of Pink Floyd has died.  His family announced that Richard passed away Monday after a short battle with cancer.  Wright was remembered by his friend and bandmate David Gilmour. “No-one can replace Richard Wright — he was my musical partner and my friend,” he said. “In the welter of arguments about who or what was Pink Floyd, Rick’s enormous input was frequently forgotten. He was gentle, unassuming and private but his soulful voice and playing were vital, magical components of our most recognised Pink Floyd sound.”

No, that’s not a witty post title.  That is really the name of a recently announced Pink Floyd themed cruise to the Bahamas, brought to you by Kiqstart Music and featuring “Think Floyd USA: The American Pink Floyd Show” (gotta work on that name).  The press release promises Pink Floyd fans a combo of sun and sea with an amazing concert experience.  I cannot wait to see the crowd that shows up for this one.  Bald dudes with pony tail meter will be off the charts.  And if you’re expecting Dave or Roger to show up, drop another hit brother.  We haven’t seen this Think Floyd, but our favorite Floyd tribute band has always been The Machine.  Although I can’t remember if they were good, the weed was good, both or neither.  Shine on.
