The Ronnie James Dio-led version of Black Sabbath, now known as Heaven And Hell are set to release their first album under that moniker. “The Devil You Know” will mark the first studio effort from Dio, Geezer Butler, Tony Iommi and Vinny Appice, since the Sabbath album, “Dehumanizer” from 1992. With song titles like, “Bible Black”, and “Eating the Cannibals”, it’s good to know that these metal gods are still leaning towards hell.

Posted on: September 26th, 2008 Free Dr. Pepper For Everyone!

Rumors are a-swirling. Supposedly on Wednesday, there was a vendor convention held by Best Buy in Dallas and at this supposed convention Guns manager Andy Gould told the Best Buy employees that the 62 year in the making Chinese Democracy album will be released on November 25 and sold exclusively at Best Buy. Like we said about AC/DC we are getting sick of this exclusive shit, but enough of that for now. The Guns manager then played 3 tracks. He also confirmed that the track “If The World” would be in the new Leonardo Dicaprio and Russell Crowe movie Body Of Lies, it would close out the movie as the credits role. Now take this rumor with a grain of salt, actually make that a keg of salt. Who knows if it’s bullshit or not, but man that Dr. Pepper is gonna taste sweet. They’re saving me .75 cents. Man, what a great world.

AC/DC have scheduled the North American leg of their upcoming Black Ice world tour, the band’s first since 2001. How Angus still fits in his school boy outfit still amazes us and creeps us out. The “Rock N Roll Train” opens in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania on October 28th and wraps up on December 18th in Charlotte, NC (more North American dates will be added soon). AC/DC will then take the train to South America, Asia and Europe before returning to the U.S. for a run through stadiums in the summer of 2009. Tickets go on sale September 20th. Posted on: September 3rd, 2008 Great White Settles

Great White has reached a settlement with the families of victims and survivors of the 2003 Station nightclub fire that claimed 100 lives. The band agreed to pay a combined $1,000,000 to the more than 300 defendants. As part of the settlement, the band deny any wrong doing in the February 2003 fire. While band members were never charged with any crimes, Great White manager Daniel Biechele served half of a four-year jail sentence after pleading guilty to 100 counts of involuntary manslaughter. The state of Rhode Island and town of Warwick also settled with defendants last month for $10 million.

Posted on: August 28th, 2008 Justice For Chinese Democracy

A blogger suspected of streaming songs from the unreleased Guns N’ Roses album “Chinese Democracy” on his website was arrested Wednesday and appeared in court, where his bail was set at $10,000. Federal authorities say Cogill posted nine unreleased Guns N’ Roses songs on his site in June. The songs were later removed. In later posts, Cogill wrote that the FBI had questioned him and asked his readers if any of them knew a good attorney. He was represented Wednesday by a federal public defender. RockHeap knows a good lawyer, just call 1-800-your-a-fuckin-dumb-ass.
